Image to sticker

Remove a plain background, wrap what's left in a thick white outline, and save a transparent PNG ready for chats, posts and printing. Your picture never leaves your browser.

PNG keeps the transparent background, so the sticker sits neatly on any chat or page.

From picture to sticker

  1. Add a picture with a plain background: a drawing on white paper, a product on a backdrop, a character on a flat colour.
  2. Check the background colour. It is detected from the picture's edges; if it is wrong, press Pick on the picture and click the background.
  3. Tune the cut. Raise the tolerance until the background is gone, and lower it if parts of your subject vanish.
  4. Style the outline and save the PNG. It is trimmed to the sticker with room for the shadow.

This is colour keying, not AI cut-out: it works on flat backgrounds, not busy photos. With the colour removed only where it touches the edges, matching colours inside your subject (white eyes, say) are kept.

Printing your stickers

Many print shops accept a transparent PNG for die-cut stickers, and a thick outline gives the cutting blade a forgiving margin around your design.

Questions

What do tolerance and edge softness do?

Tolerance is how far a colour may differ from the background and still be removed. Edge softness fades the next band of colours out gradually, so edges look smooth instead of jagged.

Why is part of my subject missing?

Those parts are close to the background colour. Lower the tolerance, or choose Where it touches the edges so enclosed areas are kept.

Can I make stickers of any picture?

Your own drawings and photos are fine. Characters, logos and other people's artwork belong to their owners, so ask first, especially before printing or selling stickers.
